Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) is an under-diagnosed condition affecting children and adults. The Canchild Centre for Childhood Disability Research at McMaster University had extensive materials to promote awareness of this disorder but there was no easy way to access it all.
I designed and built the site in collaboration with a team of occupational therapists to simplify and consolidate the information. DCD is presented by describing a fictitious boy affected by the disorder. This approach communicates the condition in a friendly and accessible way and empowers parents, teachers and health professionals to identify and empathize with children affected by DCD.
