To coincide with the federal government’s Canada 150 celebrations, WorldVuze partnered with Canadian Heritage to produce The Next 150: a national discussion with K-12 classrooms across the country. I was excited to create a logo, brand elements and a promotional video.
Because we were working with the federal government, the elements had to be bilingual — including the logotype. Finding a layout that worked for the English and French text around the ‘150’ was particularly challenging. A set of icons was created to highlight the key aspects of the program and an illustration depicting landmarks across Canada rounded out the branding phase.
A simple animated video was also produced to promote The Next 150. English and French versions were created for the web and a separate video was cut to be broadcast on TFO in the Quebec market over the course of the promotion.
